I am working with online institute, the developer team has got different applications which are based on the following technologies:

All are web based applications
Build either on .NET framework 1.1 or .NET Framework 2.0
SQL server as a database at the backend
None of them are active directory enabled.

What security issue i have to take in consideration

When you say Web Based, you DO mean that they are on a publc server and therefore accessible by all, with I guess, some form of security?

Or they could be on a private server accessible by VPN only or again hosted with a SSL certificate on an secured server with encryption and much more.

The whole thing is so vague.

Then again, maybe the info there is not worth protecting meaning that sometimes it will cost more time, worries and money to secure somtehing that... nobody wants....
