Are you using a wireless router, also have you dounloaded any files latley???

What this sounds like is you somehow aquired a .exe File that would allow someone to shadow your computer. Similar to a go to my PC sort of program. Also if you are on a network someone could be accessing your computer.

do you have a vnc client or have windows remote desktop enabled? someone could have exploited the connection on whatever ports those would be enabled on. otherwise, if you are using a wireless router, make sure it's encrypted. if it is, change the key. if it really comes down to it, backup any files that you need, and do a clean reformat. don't do the entire drive, though, because if you backup the shadow exe.... anyway. reformat, and restore the backups.

My advice is:

Turn off internet
Run good antivirus
Check google for remote access programs like remote admin, VNC etc and check that you don’t have it.

In future is it a good idea to implement a proper security solution with a good firewall.

That can be simple spyware that has backup to windows restore and each time you delete it, it just restores its self. Try Lavasoft Adware

hmm.. actually, this is kind of widespread now. there was a 0-day VNC exploit apparantly. does the term "oagain.exe" mean anything to you? if not, you may not have been paying close attention, or this is different. but other people have had people hack their comps via VNC recently. just update ALL your software, including VNC, and you should be fine.
