...hi...i have a problem with my numlock...

after i instalation XP,something happened with numlock, only numberkeys, other key such / * - + . keys work better..... i guess something missing in my instalation, but after second reinstalation same problem still happened....

i need help please

A good forum should have good rules, and enforce them, but not be *unprofessional about it if the action is necessary.

Have you tried a different keyboard? If this keyboard has special function keys and stuff then it may require a specific driver and it may be causing some strange problems with your keys.

this does'n seem like an installation problem.
by the way, what do u meen be 'numlock not working'? u say tha when u press the numlock key it doesn't lit an the numpad works as a cursor pad? or u say that after rebooting the numlock turns off and doesn't stay on? or that the numlock lit but the numpad keys still act as cursor?
u can look in bios settings (DEL key when boot starts). there is an option for
the numlock to be on or off.
also did u try another keybord? or try your keybord to a friends pc?

Sounds like you have not configed US, UK keyboard settings on xp installation.

is your keyboard wireless? i had that happen to me and needed updated drivers

Have you checked your BIOS settings since new OS install.

Could all be coming from BIOS, sure sounds like it anyways. Could also simply be a defective keyboard but I still doubt that from the symptoms.

Sorry I was so late, I just joined this forum that kinda feels like an old FarWest ghost town, giant dust bunnies all around, you can hear pretty much anything as no one is there to disturb the silence.

Too bad, this site sure seemed serious enough and looked well maintained.
