Default Someone is controlling my computer

I have lost control of my network and the rest on my computer.

Someone has destroyed the privacy I have on my computer. I feel monitored all the time.

is it just a "feeling"?what makes you sure?

disconnect from network. change ur password. make it soemthing difficult to crack (use spl characters and numbers)
can u change the admin password? please do it.

get an antivirus (bitdefender has a 30 day trial offer). windows xp has a firewall by default, or u cna take zonealarm (its free)
once in a while monitor the connections made to your system.

now u can put it back on the network, hey wait hope u downloaded all the programs before u disconnected from the network.

When you do run a virus scan make sure you do it in safe mode.

the first thing to do is of course disconnect from the internet. this should cancel out any connection whatsoever. then, you'd want to scan for viruses or trojans as stated above, and remove them if any were found.

grab some firewall software and make sure all ports are closed (except for the necessary ones of course.. like port 80 for http..). if you windows firewall is on at the time and a program attempt to connect via a different port, a window should pop up asking you to give it permission. obviously you wouldn't. just note the name and the location. you know the next step

your best bet would be to backup all your data and reformat your computer. this should just clear off all doubts. this is what i used to do when i get frustrated

Secure your network, install a good firewall, scan your pc for viruses regularly.
The easy way could be the re-format and re-install everything.

I would download and install the free version of Zone Alarm. It will pretty much lock down outside access to your PC. You'll just have to patch through any IP addresses that you may use for VPN or drive mappings if you do any of that.
