Default 40 million copies of Vista Sold

Does this surprise anyone? I'm definitely surprised given the number of problems that have been reported so far and it's only been out in the market
for a few months.

40 million sold, but how many are actually still using it?

Maybe 20 million?

For business use it's not ready in many cases.

Most folks I know are formatting their brand new pre-loaded PC's with XP.

No, I think the usage is steady. The migration from XP is taking hold.

WOW!

Nice, but how about waiting until Mac OSX Leopard comes out in October?

Leopard could take some of the Windows users.

Vista didn't impress that many people with it's launch.

I don't see Mac beating out Vista in this battle, but I do see them winning a lot more users with Leopard's Launch.

I agree. The new Mac OS will be huge...something like 300+ new goodies.

Default Leopard, who's using it?

Any observations about the Leopard OS from those who picked it up last week?

I personally have had Windows Vista Ultimate Edition (retail) for 8 months now and never had a problem with it until this week. One of the newest Windows Updates, which has been documented by Microsoft on February 22, 2008 causes an infinite reboot to occur. Now the computer running it continually reboots forever. Microsoft claimes they are working on the issue, but do not have an immediate fix for it. So people affected by this issue are basically screwed until M$ comes out and publishes the fix.
