Default To fix broken MS Text To Speech engine

I came across this solution a while back.

My MS Text To Speech engines became corrupted, and I couldn't figure out the solution. I kept getting an error whenever I selected a new voice in Control Panel > Speech > Text To Speech.

To fix the problem, I went to c:\windows\inf\sapi5.inf, right clicked the file 'sapi5.inf', and chose Install.
When prompted, I slected my 'I386' dir on my hard drive, since this was my default Windows backup dir for the installation cd. Inserting the Windows Installation CD would have worked just as well though. After choosing to install and waiting for the process to complete, I restarted my system.

Problem solved!

Enjoy,

Nimrod
