Default Need help reformatting

hey guys i really need to reformat and i read some guys and i get how to do it i just have some questions. first i have 2 hard drives one for windows and a bit of other stuff and another hard drive full of stuff...all i want to do is wipe the hard drive with windows and reinstall it, will my second hard drive get wiped??

Well i actually just did this on my lap top, heres the thing...

Do you have 2 hard drives or 2 Patritions???

i have 2 physical hard drives each with one partition each im guessing beucase i never did anything to change that

if you take out ur hard drive and put windows on ur 1st it aint gonna delete it and it will find it when you plug it back in

u can actually choose which drive gets wiped in the interface when u go through the whole formatting process

Don't worry. When u start windows installation from the cd and follow the instructions just select new instalation choose the drive u want it to installed on and format the drive with NTFS option (full or quick). Just check the code names of the drive either inside windows or from the BIOS screen (u know, hit DEL when boot and go to the drives section)
Or u can disconect the second drive and u cant be wrong.

the second hard drive will stay good. if you dont mess up ...that is . windows XP always repeat always goes first to a previous insatllation.so continue from there

i heard that if i have applications installed on the drive without windows its will have problems mapping??is this tru?

It depends on the applications.

If they need registry keys to work, they won't start and need to be reinstalled. Other programs work without being installed
