I'd say NOD32 is about the best antivirus to be found, I use it and I love it.

I use Avast. I used to us AVG, but it started acting funny, so I switched to Avast. NOD32 seems pretty good too, but I've never tried it, because I am content with Avast now.

i thought NOD32 would be on the list when i clicked this link.. it looks like they haven't even come across it.. it isn't getting much publicity this one, but it's wonderful.

it doesn't take up much RAM, which is excellent, unlike other AV software which eats up your memory. this one runs nice and smooth in the background. sometimes i even forget i have it in there!

a great feature i like is the scan files before they open feature... this software would scan each file before you open it - IN THE BACKGROUND. i don't even notice a thing. i don't feel that there is any difference in speed whatsoever. it's just great.

the autoupdate feature is good ofcourse, but overall, i like it because it's lightweight and does the job pretty well.

as for the other apps.. i've tried a lot of them.. take for example kaspersky or whatever it's called.. the number 2 on the list.. heh.. it doesn't work properly on all computers... like on mine.. it would run on startup and take up 100% CPU that my PC takes over 15 minutes to show the desktop. it was a pain removing it. it was a mistake of mine when i installed it again and got the same problem. this one is just terrible... it's supposed to be compatible with all windows computers. PLUS i did not have any other firewall or antivirus software installed.

norton is fine, i used to use it before, but it takes up a lot of memory. it's just too heavy a load on this computer brain.

nod32 all the way from now on

NOD32 is my favourite too. Uses very little resources and it works!

What someone really needs to release is a program that protects against both Viruses AND Spyware because no program that I've seen as of yet does this well. The line between viruses and spyware is pretty blurred these days anyways.

so, it seems that a lot of us have used nod32 and agree that it's a two thumbs up choice

I haven't use all of the softwares, but since I bumped into nod32, I haven't had the need for use other one.
