Vista is going to be very expensive I have heard... Not sure if I will be able to purchase it right when it comes out.

I want to try one of the free linux OS's, just to see how well they run.

not allowed to vote yet....anyhow here is what i use. 2 x windows xp and 1x windows Xp media center . One windows xp and the xp media center dual boots with Linux (one is suse 9.3 the other suse 10.1)

well got permission to vote....so it went to xp despite the fact that i use linux approximately 50 % of the all time.

Linux is very good, but most common people use windows, because it became with the computer, in software package by de seller and maker.

Windows XP professional edition. I like windows nowadays. It use to crash to often in the earlier days

windows xp, its very good imo but has some networking issues
