Default Can you read the text?

I am wondering about my text color choices on this site. Can you read it?

www.texifornia.com

(If you see any other problems, please share as well)

PS...I've changed the design in response to everyone's posts--they all sort of agreed that the text was a problem, and so did I..I would still love feedback on the new site design, though I am probably just going to make small changes for now.

Kept a copy of the old site for the "archives"

In my opinion blue text on the yellow, and yellow on the blue background would do great as well

I like the yellow and blue idea. Is there a way to change link color in just one part of a document? Thats why I had oarnge (so the links would show up on both the blue and the yellow).

Or I may just reformat it like I did this part of the site (made later, when I had a better understanding of tables):

http://windhaven.bravepages.com/texifornia/store.html

I was thinking of making the center column white, keep the side columns yellow and the background navy. That way I could make all the text navy and it would show up.

Just got to find time to do it!

I like the white middle part as shown in the example you gave...

For me, that shade of blue and yellow together is too much.
However, I like the second link you posted, with the white in the middle.

Well, I have worked out a new front page, although I haven't put it up because it also involved moving some of the content to a blog, which I haven't finished with yet. But here is a pre-view for all of you who have helped me out on this. I will say that this was the hardest lay-out I've ever done--all with tables (my husband says I need to learn CSS). Anyways...here it is:

(Soon this will be at www.texifornia.com )

Now for some of the sub-pages. How many of you can read this page?

(I may just go simple here and make the text white. I'm not gonna do a whole layout change on that I think.

You could always outline the orange text in black to offset it.
