It's a nice design, but I think you should go for a more professional/high tech look. Yes, I realize that those looks are everywhere, but they are what appeal to most people on the internet, and are what most people are looking to buy. If you were to make your own portfolio high tech/professional, it would serve as a model of what you can do for others.

My portfolio itself will be high tech, I havent gotten around to updating the portfolio itself because I have been so busy lately, I'm just asking for a review on the design aspect of the initial site.

Ok.

I like the colors, as I'm fond of dark color schemes. It looks nice and simple. I love the fireball guy. Looks great. I think the navigation bar looks too "soft", if you understand what I mean. The light grey and light blue on the left doesn't fit in too much, at least I don't find it to. I like how you're offerring 3 different color schemes. Very good idea. All-in-all, it's a nice design.

That's a very soothing design. One of my newest peaves is looking at a site, then turning away, or minimizing and having this unexplainable glaring vision left over. This scheme is smooth and easy on the eyes. I like the little logo guy, but I think it could be a bit more "logo-ized" than it is. Does that make sense? As it stands, it's not really something that could go on a business card, or on letterhead, but it's very close.

I think its looks great, except for the color of the text. Maybe its just, but sites like that hurt my eyes after a few minutes

I like the design it is quite nice. The orange text would be overwhelming if there were alot of text in these areas though. Maybe you could try the two rows/cells with the text "We are in the process of updating our portfolio" with an off-white color and black text with a border in the colors you have for background color. Just an idea to try...Maybe the buttons be rollovers or have some minor flash in the buttons or something.......But it looks nice the way it is.
