Hello all,
We run a construction equipment web site and would appreciate any reviews good or bad.

We have been online for about 6 months and have been slowly increasing our traffic. The majority of our traffic has come from search engines. Until recently we have done very little for site promotion. Last month we had a drop in visits and pageviews to our site and would appreciate any suggestions. We are currently working on promoting through classifieds ads, posting on construction related forums, looking into writing articles about our site.

Nice site, I was in the Forklift Parts Sales for a while (Adavance Forklift out of Canada), maybe you know them, if not, look em up, great prices, tier one supplier.
Really like the background color, looks like you favor Cat equipment. Great graphics too.

its a fairly nice site but on a business view there is a major problem take a look at some other sites and try to do something like theres any type of business will do you site to get a good rep on the net you need a pro site light in color and full page thats what i believe

Thanks Kencat500 i willl look them up and see what they offer, it seems that the construction equipment online industry is growing especially for directional drills.

Thanks dxlwebs the suggestion for making it full page is something we have been thinking about. The original design idea was to be suitable for anyone with 800x600 resolution and up, i am sure on higher resolutions it is too much background. we tried to steer away from the norm' figuring the tread plate background would give people something to remember us by and didn't want to look like a clone of the majority of sites out there. Honestly people are more comfortable with what they are used to seeing so it might not be a bad idea.

Any more comments will be appreciated by any board member, thanks.

I like your site, Its interesting how it is defently geared towards construction workers. What I mean by that is there is so small print it is bold and to the point. I also like how you can just click on the picture of what you want and it will go directly to that product. Simplicity is the key and i think you have got it down, however it does seem to be a little bit cluttered. Take a look around and see what you can get rid of to ease the eye a little bit, overal good.

Thanks for the comments Hipster. The main page became more cluttered as we decided on what needed to be there. I think you are right we need to take what we have now and do a redesign. We probably have twice the amount of content on there today then when it was originally laid out.
