Hello,

I try to create some "advantage" RSS feeds reader of important web pages (which I scroll daily), and display them in logical groups and as friendly as possible.
Here are some advantages:
• User can decide how to open links (popup window / new tab / normal),
• User can save RSS feed,
• User can decide how many stories will be per column,
• If you pass with mouse over image it gets bigger,
• If you pass with mouse over "more", full text appears,
• Mobile website,
• And some more.

The webpage is Chili Press - gathers world and local news, political stories, business information, technology and science news, sports achievements, health advises and some topics based on entertainment content..

The site is pretty slow, can't see it.

Like it a lot but yikes is it slow. You may consider only top 5 news stories since I think that is an option from your provider. To make it look good with the change, you might want to narrow the site. It fits fine on my monitor/window but maybe not with everybody.

You may also consider adding an Addthis button for social bookmarking of your site - not necessary but the graphic would fit your current setup with no mess.

Thank you for your answers.
May I ask you what your connection speed is? I agree, that is a little bit too slow, so I will move form PHP -->ajax.
All page works on divs, which suite your screen width, also there is some javascript running to cut description text (i.e.: for 1024 width thee is 30 letters, for 1280 there is 35 letters displayed and so on).

I have a cable modem. Your site comes up all at once which would infer to me that there is something in the scripting that slows the loading. I had this issue sometime ago when I had java inserts (Amazon links) that were slow because of their server issues. It may be because each feed is a different source and the combined effect slow the loading (I don't really know).

Isn't website optimization fun?
