Default Anti Spam encoders

Hi Guys

As you can see I am an absolute newbie and a very junior webmaster. My site's contact forms are being spammed and I understand I would require anti-spam encoders for each form. I assume this is some form of script or code not sure which. This will be placed on each form page where genuine clients will require to add the security code is this correct?

So if this is correct my urgent question is 1. Which is the best product to use? and 2. Is it a job for a novice webmaster like myself?

I look forward to you guys out there giving me some urgent advice

Regards

Padi
