cuteftp program did not shoewed some files that other programs did. why?

what can cause to not be able to see some files with cuteftp?

when i was looking to delete some file that my webhoster saind that is the one that taking lots of webspace on my hosting i wan't able to see that file with cuteftp nor other contect of the folder.

after using SmartFTP i was able to see it and delete it.
