Moving into a new server!

I want to ask this thing cause it bother me a lot.if i decided to change server company what are the things I should save or backup so that my file on my old server is intact when I transfer it in my new server?

I think I saw this question in a faq of a web hosting company.I think there is no problem in transferring your file.hosting company offer the transferring of your old website to your new site.Just provide the domain and the password and the hosting company will provide the rest?

well, back up all the raw data. Also back up any databases you have.
