Ive used hostgator and ipower which are similar in price, i couldnt stand them. I now run a dedicated server for my sites, im paying $80 US a month.
It works rather well.

But is pricey

I pay $25 a month for my reseller account. This account has 6GB of space and alot of bandwidth which I will never use.

Currently Im running 20 sites on this account, with room for another 50 or so

I use free hosting. Just look for those old hosting companies which can be trusted.

I pay $100 / month for colocation at Peer1 Networks, through the Toronto Community Colocation Project. A decent deal for computer hobbyist and other low cost needs.

The box is an older Compaq DL320.

It's not really a high-bandwidth option... $50 for a 128Kb commit. If you have any high bandwidth multimedia sites this ain't for you.
