Is there a good webhost out there that i can sign up for and host the sites of my clients on? What are the usual rules with that sort of thing?

also, are there any hosts that are like $1-2 a month that offer less storage? like 1and1s cheapest plan offers 5gigs, which is a bit too much. My plan gives me 20gigs, but i dont think im allowed to host client sites on it.

I guess when you say plan youre referring to your home internet?

I think you can run sites, long as its not bringing too much traffic... but you better check your terms of service.

Ive never heard of hosting for $1/2 a month.. if youre paying $2 you might as well upgrade to a $6-9 us a month plan.

If you want to host your clients site, get a reseller account.
You can get these accounts for under $20 a month and host unlimited sites and domains on them.

A good host for this is site5.com

Both Host Gator and IPOWER offer multiple domains on one account. You can host your clients and your own sites for one low price.

When I was starting out, price and support were the most important thing to me. I chose someone who had great support, but their prices were high. About a year later I changed hosts to save $, and I think the savings was probably equal to the decline in support quality I received. Overall, it just takes experience to find a good balance of price and support. I would definitely look for recommended hosts.

If they are making others happy, at least you have a chance ;-)

ps : on a friend recomendation i shifted to www.comforthost.net .

Bandwidth Minimum is 1 TB+ increasing
Space is 20GB +increasing

but the price is 7.95$ approx per month

You cant get that cheap for what you are talkign about.
Plus as the price goes down , service is affected too.
