Question about free hosting?

Hi I'm a bit confused about free hosting. Does it have similar features with that of paid posting. And can I upload my site pages with an ftp using a free hosting? if not how will I put my site pages? or free hosting is only for redirects?

You can get free hosting that is just as good if not better then some paid hosting, it varies on your host. Most hosts offer FTP access but some only allow browser uploading in which you would use there control panel to upload your page(s). If your looking for a decent host, trap17.com is a decent place although you gotta post on there forums regularly but it's a small price to pay for there hosting and they offer cPanel and more..
