I currently have godaddy hosting one of my sites. I want to buy another domain name and make a new site, and am wondering if I can use my existing server and share it.

also, if this is possible, how do I do that?

Do you mean that you would like to register another site with Godaddy?

Of course, it depends on the plan you have.If it is shared hosting plan, you can add another site as an addon domain.In case this is a reseller plan, you can create a separate account for the new site.

Moreover, you can modify your current domin name that you host at Godaddy(of course if you are not planning to use it anymore) and set your new site as the main domain of the account instead.

actually I got it. I wanted to host more than one personal site on my server, and I just upgraded to a server for like $80/yr that lets me host as many as I want.

It is not actually a server, it is just a shared hosting account.
GoDaddy crams lots of sites into a server.

yes you can add your new site to your hosting account and share space and bandwidth by both sites... you just add new site by "addon domain" under Cpanel... hope it may help you... Thanks
