Folks that actually hangout in those forums have a*lot* of experience.... and
the various Bios releases and their impact on the dual cores, as well as problems with various bios releases and RAM upgrades in the T & X series machines have been discussed
--extensively-- (so I suggest you search the threads first) and if you don't find the answer to your question is in an existing discussion, you will usually get a prompt, intelligent and accurate response..... but it's a "common interest" question, so I'd bet you can find it's already been asked and answered.
Other things commonly discused are things like:
- Major case and dock hardware mods,
- Wireless Broadband Issues
- Graphic Card Issues
- Drive and Fan noise; fan and temp control
- Issues with the ThinkVantage Tool system
- Getting various *nix systems --including Mac OS X
-- running on the dual core thinkpads,
- yadda yadda....
That's would be where I look..... I've got a
T60p 2007-94U, as well as an
HPdv8000t.... so two (2) Intel Duo core machines
If you've got a Thinkpad.... this is a good resource... But, just as a friendly "heads up"... you'll be talking to people that can (generally) spell, or (if not) are willing to use a spell checker.... it makes the posts/threads so much easier to read.
