What's the difference - flash drive, pen drive, usb key?
I am looking to buy a 4 gig stick to carry my documents from one location to another.I keep hearing all these terms thrown around and was wondering if there was any difference between a flash drive, pen drive, usb key, etc?Is there any difference or are they just all words that reference the same piece of equipment.

All these are data storage devices,just their names are interchangeable.

basically the same things. one thing is that the usb key chain and usb key could be different in that a usb key could contain a encrypted key to allow you to do something. But if someone (like school) says get a 1gb thumb drive, you can get a flash drive, or usb key chain version.
