I agree with this. My vista laptop runs off 1GB. This is barely enough to capacitate the vista operating system. I intend to upgrade to 2 GB. This would be plenty enough for the average user. 1 GB still works but when you check the windows task manager, over 70% of the memory is taken when the computer is idle.

Fist consult you mainboard manual to see what is the maximum amount of memory that can be supported by the board.

Than buy at least 2GB of RAM, if you mean to run Vista.
I think it should support at least 2 GB of RAM at max, if not more.

It`s not about processor that much, but RAM upgrade can do miracles on Microsoft Os.

I am using 2 GB ram in my PC but i think 1 GB ram is best enough for high speed

vista is OS whith consume a lot of memory, in this case you only have a 512mb minimum they recommed is 1gb.if you want to get stable and still using vista upgrade your memory until 2 or 4 gb than your computer will get stable. I'm still using xp with 1gb of ram and i want to upgrade more.

well its a very basic problem with the Vista, but still to run advance OS like vista and Windows7 you must have atleast 1Gb RAM to run the system properly.
