Default is computer memory effects on speed?

Many software's work on 1GB ram.Is there any problem if we run them on small ram.......My friend says," yes, it'll create problem..but do not worry this problem will solve just after upgrade computer memory...Although i have already upgraded computer memory from memoryx.net still asking............

can size of of ram change the speed of computers????

Yeah sure it is. It will effect the speed of your computer. The lesser your memory is, the slower your computer loads.

In general, yes it does. Adding more RAM memory speeds up your PC.

Nowadays...new desktops and laptops comes with 4gb of memory and i think it is enough to run any software speedily..

memory plays vital role in speed. you better your check stats of your computer with any monitoring tool to find our bottle neck.
if you are using windows just hit ctl alt del and go into process or performance tab, you can sort out process there according to cpu usage and memory.

Hi,
Memory space reduces the performance of the system that is for sure. Actually, it is some kind of time-space trade-off. Most of the multimedia games requires a lot of memory space which in turn reduces the speed of the computer.
