I have an on-board VGA card with a 64 MBs' shared memory capacity. When I purchased the computer, the people from the selling service set its shared memory to only 8 MBs. How can I increase it so I can get more smoothness with Windows Vista?

It's usually set in the BIOS. Press F2 or DEL on boot up and check for the setting in the BIOS.

You can buy a separate video card, so it won't share memory. Disable your on board memory and put in you separate video card, but before buying a video card should know first what kind of video card slot you have, is it PCI, AGP, PCIExpress.

Well, if it is possible to increase the amount of shared ram, it will be in the bios somewhere. On the vast majority of motherboards, you hit 'delete' when you see the BIOS splash screen (usually the brand of your laptop) as you power up the pc. Then there will be an option somewhere to increase the video ram.

you will have to go to BIOS then in third or fourth menu (name changes sometimes owing to different motherboards) you will have a option of vga shared memory, you can increase to desired there
