There are a lot of good ideas that can get an internet business off the ground. Doing certain things the right way - figuring out a marketing plan, executing the plan and constructing your resources the right way will bring you the best return.
My advice is learn more from forums, visit their blogs and take the knowledge to the streets. By the way, you have to work your ass off cos nothing is easy.

That sounds much like a philosophical question. What is the use of the internet ? Theirs a million and a half ways to make money. You simply need to find something thats either convenient, or not, and make it more convenient ( Chat, AIM) . Or you can find something that focuses on an place of comfort or discomfort. (dating sites and social networking siteS) . This all depends on how bad you want to make money on the web. You need not worry about having knowledge of sitebuilding etc. If you've an idea and the confidence to represent it, someone out their is wanting to throw money into it.

Come up with an idea first no matter how outlandish, then take it to some design firms (multiple) and see what they are capable of. Checking multiple will give you a better idea about whats possible, or not... and give you a price point as well. Dream big, likelyhood is that someone on the web can make it happen.
