Software Recommendation?

I am looking for 2 software programs to aid me in a web design project. First, I am looking for a program that will easily create items such as calendars, news feeds, and bulletin board as well as other things with ease. Second, I need a program to create animated gifs with ease. Thanks.

Are you looking for free or paid softwares?
And also weaather you like to put things through database driven way or simple static pages?
If you are looking for online CMS, there are som cool CMS like mambo/drupal/etomite/Subdreamer. They are all free.

Dreamweaver is so helpful ... I have never used Windows Outlook before tho is it good at all??
