I use the mac operation system, but software that could be used on it is so limited! Some software have both versions for windows and MAC. I want to make a collection here,
could any of you give some suggestions?

Try the latest operating system Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, they have improved on the system tremedously and is open so accept a wider array of software programs

There are a lot of virtual machine solutions out there such as Vmware and Parallels. I think they will allow you to use Windows software with few if any problems.
