Default Easy online site editting???

Hi

I need help!

I administer a small ‘Bed and Breakfast’ website, which I would like to have a small table on the home page, that the bed and breakfast owner can post up to date vacancy information. Unfortunately the owners have very few IT skills, so I need something very simple and easy for the to use (e.g. Not ftp…) – can anyone suggested a easy solution?

Thanks

john

I would build a small php application that simply wrote out a short .js file that could be included in your page. Fire a JavaScript function when the page loads to populate the value of the variables.

Build a quick & dirty script on the server that the bed & breakfast manager can access that provides a form with the required data. Have that script create the JS file.

As far as easy online editing, the free blogging software packages such as Movable Type and Word Press are extremely user friendly...perhaps you can develop a simple add on page with that software.

1, Download NVU Browser or mozilla browser which are great for online editing.
Load page where the owner wants to put updates and edit it save it (still it will need ftp login/password once editing is done and save the page on web server.
or
2, Make text file about vacancies (Eg.: vacancy.txt) that would show in the frame put it on the server or any external server, embed the file in the frame box. when owner wants to change this all they do is make another text file with updated info and save with same name (vacancy.txt) and put it on the server.
