Default Re: PowerPoint slide show to web page - Blog

I have a PPT and have tried several ways to post it to the web site - all to no avail. Using the tool, the following results occur: Jerky or missing transitions/animations, missing audio, doubled up audio (with the duplicate playing back at a higher speed!), lost timings.

PPT show Elements:
About 6 minute presentation
Voice over for 29 slides
Background mx that plays throughout
Many fades and animations.

I'm stumped - I even linked the show directly to our web site (as one would do for a Word doc). Strangely, it worked at my office, but played sans audio anywhere else.

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

For converting powerpoint to video, flash, gif or burning to CD/DVD you can try Presentation To Video Converter. I've been using it for some years & really satisfied with it's quality. I have no problem with transitions, missing audio, etc.. It's easy to use & there is no need to put such a big tutorial.

You could just put a ppt on your page with a <iframe> or <embed> tag if nothing else works but they will need a plugin from microsoft ppt viewer for it to work.

HOT!!!Basicly, you can try this one: Moyea PowerPoint to DVD Burner
I'm not here to be sensational, but it's really the best one among those PPT2dvd products. This tool can convert your PPT files to DVD format files and burn them to DVD disc.
This tool: Moyea PowerPoint to DVD Burner not only 100% keeps the original animations and audios of your PPT but also lets you attach media files and record narrations accompany with your PPT. Further more, it can convert your PPT to video files perfectly. With this program, you don't have to have a computer to do your presentations with your Powerpoint files. Just a TV and a DVD player will do the job perfectly. You can play your PPT on TV with a remote control now!!

You can download this tool from: Burn Powerpoint to DVD, play Powerpoint with DVD Player and TV set

There seems to be a lot of spam on this thread. Did I miss the point?

I was actually quite interested in converting PPT to SWF, for including on one of my blogs. I can program FLASH myself - but sometimes it so much easier to quickly knock something out in powerpoint!

Now, how do I record an audio commentary track to narrate the slideshow, and synchronize it with the slides?

Um, there is a much easier way. Have you guys looked scribd.com or slideshare.net. It's just upload the presentation and embed. Quick easy and no need to convert your presentation with any of the aforementioned tools.

Here's a quote from slideshare's website:
SlideShare is the best way to share your presentations with the world. Let your ideas reach a broad audience. Share publicly or privately. Add audio to create a webinar. Learn more or start

And no, I'm not affiliated with them at all - just think they have a solid product.
