Lightbulb Re: new to dreamweaver forms please help

im pretty sure the same thing happened to me.

Are you just changing from frontpage to dreameaver after using frontpage extensions on your website? If so, below is whats going wrong:

Basically, in frontpage, the forms use some code called web-bot, which is installed on your websites' server when you install frontpage extensions. Without these extensions your forms will not work so in order to transfer to dreamewaver and use dreamweaver's ftp option you will need to find an alternative code to save your form results! Iv been trying to find this for a few days now, and as far as i can see, it requires either php or another type of code to save the information.

If you post around in some forums you might be able to find some code for this! Good luck!

Ok Max is correct it seems like it is the Action of the script in the first line of code.

Frontpage is horrible because of this and many other reasons, what the action of a form is, is a a script that is called when the submit button is pressed. preforming the action. you may want this info to go to a database, or to an e-mail, or to a CGI script. Whatever you want it to do make a script for it and make that your action.
