Default e-commerce

Hello Guys & Galls

Well, being new to all this html, php, asp, css script I am asking for a little help from those that know a thing or two.

Like I said being new to this area…. Anyway, I have been fortunate enough to have an e-commerce site made for me which has about 70 pages. The problem is it was designed in FrontPage 2003 and has not got a shopping cart integrated, not a major problem with PayPal around as I would understand.

My questions are

1) How can I keep up with managing some 400 product prices without going to each individual page and manually updating them?

2) How do I manage stock control on these pages?

3) Is it possible to change one piece of data which is the same but is also on various different pages from just one area?

There must be a program out there that can manage this for me as I am sure large companies do not have people changing all these prices of each and every product.

Hope someone can help

Rich

Default Re: e-commerce

If you are prepared to consider switching a total hosting solution, I know of this site that offers a pretty integrated e-commerce solution. I'm using the hosting service myself as it is designed for the non-technical savvy people. Everything is done online including website design.

Here's the site: http://www.buildgreatwebsites.com

If you need help to build your site, let me know. I'm quite familiar with this hosting solution as my website http://discovervalue.com was built on it.

An example of the integrated shopping cart with Paypal is shown at http://discovervalue.com/learn_english

The English products (displayed within a blue-colored table) are part of a shopping catalogue which you only manage at the e-store backend. You can also control available stock, import and export product info using Excel, and so forth.

I like this solution as it allows me to spend more time on my actual business rather than tweaking the website design and feature. By the way, it offers a 10-day free trial so you can try out all its features.
