Dreamweaver webhost

Ok, I've created a website using Dreamweaver. Now, I need to know how to upload my site onto a host. How do save my file or what are the steps I need to take?

You should be able to save your file as an .html file. Then, you need to find a website host. I'm not really sure how to use Dreamweaver to upload your site to the host, but once you find a host, you should be able to use an FTP client to upload your html files. I'm sure that Dreamweaver has a built-in FTP client, but I usually use FlashFXP or Firezilla(free) to upload files to my server.

A newbie to webhosting huh?This was also my problem when I was starting to explore the net.I use ftp client such as smartftp.You can download it at download.com.Also check your server preferred software.But some server preffered smart ftp.

If your unsure of what an ftp client or could honestly care less , most webhosting providers supply you with a control panel , in that control panel you should be able to find something like "File Manager" in which you may upload your files via your web browser. Im quite sure most if not all host's offer this. Anyhow good luck

I used control panel also.Im a newbie I dont know about ftp.I did not try any ftp software because it confuses me a lot.Hi fellow newbie try using the control panel provided by your host.

just use the built in FTP editor that comes with dreamweaver. waaaaaaay easier! it uploads all of your independant files (images, flash movies, .css files, etc..) so you don't have to upload one at a time. its under the FILES section of dreamweaver mx.
