Most of the time I actually think webpages with flash looks not so professional and are really annoying. First I have to wait for the flash to load, and I'm not even on a slow connection. Second, many people uses really cliche and ugly/lame flash animations, or simply annoying music that you can hardly find a place to turn off. Flash navigation is more annoying since you can't choose whether you want the link in a new window and such. I think all flash sites should have a HTML/plain alternative. And I think Flash is only mostly effective on MOVIE sites, or sites that focuses on looks of something (like cellphone advertisement, etc.).

What's your opinion? I find a lot of people loves flash these days...

Infact, not many people now use Flash on there websites. There was a time though a few years back when everybody wanted to have a flash intro on there websites, not even offering an html/non-flash entry.
I personally dont like flash-based websites. html/css works wonder for me.

If your connection is slow you will hate flash.But come on open yourself to changes.Flash is the best web software ever been created.

Flash will make your site look better.I dont know about your opinion but I find it attractive for a newbie like me.Try using flash even it is a template.!

I'm not a huge fan of flash web sites... i like to get my information quickly, and easily... and flash is usually not the most efficient means of delivery.

I'm not a big fan of Flash.

I believe many times Flash sites go against the interactive nature of the web. Since Flash technology favors a "presentation style" approach that resembles television, users are many times reduced to mere observers that get bored after a while, no matter how good the graphics look.

I think flash has to be used well for it to work, otherwise it is annoying. So no flash intros but a flash nav/header section or moving images can look really cool on a site. Its great for creating media players, streamers and the like as well...so its not that bad.

i don't like flash, there're annoying. The only times i like them are for playing games.

Like with anything, it depends on the person creating the content. Flash is an amazing resource, but it's been abused. As has just about anything that becomes easily accessible to the general public. Flash does not a good web designer make. I mean, hell, we have thousands of devices that allow us to communicate with other people, yet very few people seem to have anything important to say... or know how to use the English language properly.
