Site Creating Programs Vrs Basic Text Editor

What has web design come to? More and more users are using programs like front page, dreamweaever and more to create there sites , even "Professional" web designer are doing this.. Some of you onlu use a couple options to do some quick edits and what not but most people relie on these programs. What ever happen to using the classic text editor for web design? Is it obsolete? I don't do much web design but when i do , i do it with a text editor. I don't believe in these programs that do the work for you, it speeds the process up alot yea but.. i don't think it's the true way of web design , this thread isn't to start any flaming but to express your opnion about todays web design. So what do you think?

I would have to agree with you on this, i myself use just the classic text editor. I really despise any "site creation" programs and don't recommend anyone to use them. You don't learn web design this way only to be lazy lol but some people prefer it and some people do have a great knowledge in web design but not enough time to create site(s) using just a plain text editor but i still don't agree to it

Sometimes you have to do it in a site creating software or what we call right now.WYSIWYG:What you see is what you got.

Im also using text editor but not all the time.
