Default Any Photoshop Alternatives

What photoshop alternatives are there? My photoshop is messed up and I need something good. Photoshop has to have some competitors, so if you know any I would be happy to see them.

Hi,

Jasc Software Inc.'s PSP can't do all of the things that Photoshop can... and the price is pretty hard to beat!

There is Fireworks, its kinda the same as Photoshop, just not as many features and such. I would put it 2nd on my list after PS though.

I would go for Fireworks too
Its simplier to use as compared to PS in my books as for features, well it serves its purpose.

GIMP is a free program that I heard it's almost a dupliate of Photoshop. I've never tried, but I've heard positive comments from those who did.

Well GIMP is free so not much of complains on that for a free item.
PS and Fireworks are pretty expensive if you ask me.

You could either use Marcomedia Fireworks 8 / GIMP or Corel Paint Shop Pro X both have similiar but not the same features of Photoshop CS2.
