Default Optimal webpage sizes

I would like to ask webmasters, what optimal website page sizes are?

I'm sorry, I don't exactly get your question. A recent survey shows that a decent amount of Internet users still have an 800x600 resolution, so you might want to make sure that your webpage is compatible with that; you shouldn't need to worry about anything smaller, however, unless you want to try and make your website compatible with specific devices like the BlackBerry or iPhone.

Check out your google analytics to see what most of your users are using.

Well I'd try to keep the page as small as possible, but generally speaking I think under 50KB is recommended, this is just the pure "HTML" page though without images.

I have google analytics running on every website I've ever made. The percentage of users using 800 x 600 is 4.29%. That includes a high school's website that gets 300 visitors a day that are across a diverse portion of the population.

1024 x 768 makes up 47% of the population. The rest are above that, except for 1% of users who visit on an iphone, but that scales so it doesn't matter.

I design my sites 900 pixels wide. If 4% of my audience has to scroll horizontally I don't care. 900 pixels is optimal because it still leaves some space on each side of the content, but I'm not just wasting space.

What height do you usually use when designing websites?

I have no idea but I think the total web page size depends upon the contents.
