Domain name .org SERP disadvantage - Webmaster Forums - Webmaster forum for HTML, PHP, ASP, CSS and more

hi all, i bought 5 .org domains and currently trying to seo it and trying hard to make it appear first page in SERP for the keywords. In my case, the keyword is the domain name. with no extra character or "-" etc.

I found out, its harder to rank a .org, than rank a .com.
i know because i have 10 .com running, and they ranked fast...compare to these .org

Is this a fact??

I really don't think it has anything to do with the tld.
Although my .org is not doing well compared to my .com site but it could be just more work is needed. Even Google engineers had said that the tld doesn't effect the rankings, not even .edu or .gov

Yes it's a strong rumour. It's safer to stay with .com
