So I created my first newsletter today. I admit, it was a bit amateur and I'd like future newsletters to look professional. For this newsletter, all I did was create and HTML file and email it to my subscribers.... Are there any professional services or software that you use? Or do you have any other tips?

You can always create a template for the newsletter, taking bits and peices of the parts you have liked from other newletters. From there add your original information. and this way the format is the same so the readers know where to look for what they want. and its easy for you becuase you know what info you need and where to put it.
