Hmm I guess ddmp means: does anyone know a fast/ cheap/ good way to attract people to a site.

-> Depends what you host; if you want a site with an active community to support it, you have to original and provide good services.

Keep people interested with improvements to your site (this isn't always cheap though).

I would recommend getting on Top100 sites for the category that your site falls under and get ur site each engine friendly.

just link back from forums and subit in directories....it's best if your site shows up in the organic results.

start a blog (preferably wordpress) and post daily atleast 2-3 informative posts including good keywords in the posts... get few linkbacks or post useful comments on other blogs... SE's now likes blogs more and more because of new contents in blog is very high comparing to a normal website... also blogs have inbuilt SEO, so that it will help you in SE traffic, even you doesn't know about SEO...

Good backlinks. It mean that you should have at least 15-25 links from PR3-PR5 websites. And after... all you have to do.... just add more content. More pages you have (not far from 3 clicks from homepage) with unique content, more visitors.
