I see mention of PR web sites. I assume there is a way to check what PR rating your site is, but what do one need to do?

how de define PR.

Hi,
Seriously, PageRank is one measurement Google makes of links pointing
to a page. It's not the only way they evaluate links, and it's far from
the most important element in their ranking algorithms. The term is a
Google trademark. Too much is made of it because they made the marketing
decision to include a score derived from it on their toolbar, which has
many people convinced it must be very important.

I think PR seems to be not important. There are a lot of sites got PR5+ after few months. You should focus on the contents and I’m sure you will get a lot more traffic.

yes i read somewhere a page rank of 2 with only one word on the whole page

Content is way more important, but you also must target keywords that people search for on search engines. Page rank is how well u rank on these keywords and how many links you have and more algo google stuff.

It's not perfect I do know that.

There are a lot of free tools available which you can use to check Google PR of your site, just do a Google search and you will find many. PageRank is a numeric value that represents how important a page is on the web. Google figures that when one page links to another page.

Well guys heres the Ironic thing; Page Rank is actually named after someone who came up with the ranking system. Page is his last name. One would think it would be th erank of your page. It is not its a simple way for google to give your site a grade

that is why there usually only updated quartlerly
