Default Is DMOZ dead ?

Have any of you had luck recently in getting submissions accepted to DMOZ? Do you think they still have weight in SEO ?

I think it is still relevant - but after 3-1/2 years and a handful of attempts, I have not gotten in or even a notification. I suggest paying the $295 to Yahoo for their directory to have a similar presence.

I don't think it's dead... I think that they don't have enough unpaid staff doing the job anymore... maybe people would rather add / control wikipedia... they should hire actual people instead of the current system if they want the directory to be really relevant...

Of course, good website always have great relevancy.
And the time you need for the submission in dMoz is very less.
So you must try at least one time. And left the rest of the other on moderators.
There many website which are getting add every month and I have noticed that.
So don't worry and keep trying.

DMOZ is still good for SEO. But it is difficult to get approve your website in DMOZ. I have submitted 5 website but only one approve.
