I have some blogs and i also submitted it in Google, Yahoo etc. but still blogs are not showing on search. Can we treat blogs as other paid websites. Can we apply the seo techniques on blogs?

(1)Create a useful information about your site and write pages that clearly and accurately describe your content.

(2)Offer a site map to your visitors with links that point to the important parts of your site. If the site map is larger than 100 links,break the site map into separate pages.

(3)Make sure that your web server supports the If-Modified-Since HTTP header. This feature allows your web server to tell Google whether your content has changed since we last crawled your site and supporting this feature saves you bandwidth and overhead.

(4)Always use ALT and title attributes.

(5)If you decide to use dynamic pages be aware that not every search engine spider crawls dynamic pages as well as static pages,it helps to keep the parameters short and the number of them few.

(6)Search engines prioritize H1 tags so use important keywords here and try to stick to one H1 tag per page.

Update your blog regularly with fresh and informative content.
Submit RSS feed of blog to some RSS feed directories. If you will submit blog to do follow social bookmarking sites, you will get better traffic and rank for it quickly.

You have to get more backlinks to your blog. To do this, you can do article submissions, blog commentings, forums postings etc. However, apart from this, you have to add unique contents to your blog as well as make sure you are having unique keywords, title and etc... too.
