I heard about this and I have also bought a software to do auto insertations, do link farms do any good? Because since its auto, should I even try it out?

dont even try to participate on link farms, it will just harm your site on search engines..

I heard that some search engines actually blacklist these sites and that if you are spotted there you would be nailed or given heavy penalties...
To be safe don't do it.

For me, Having your link in some Link farm cant dko some damage to you. A link pointing to your site cant hurt you, but a link from your site to some link farm can surely affect your SERP's.

And why would people think that my site is related to them? Can you give me some article to back up your opinion? A link pointing to you can do no harm unless you are pointing to them

Why would a link back to me harm me... unless theyr are saying things bad aout my site....
Now that a different story... I tried a link farm and I can submit just about anything without reivewing by the admin... which means I can flame someone too... dangerours

I guess a link farm is like a unmanaged link directory then.
But then no one would go and see it anyway, but if they don't manage it, we could use a software and keep submitting and then their server will crash and all link farms will be wiped out

To make things easier.. just be reminded that you can have your link on those sites, but make sure that you choose the good ones... there are still some link farms that google gives importance to.I fond out also that some has a PR ranging from 3 - 6. Well for me its good, it depends on your on point of view...
