Then we must be keeping up todate about which link farms are good and which are bad
because links get hit down so fast that we need to submit like every 24 hours to ahve something visible.
You could buy a software for that.

Everyone who said "backlinks can't hurt you" is completely and totally wrong. Google monitors how many backlinks you get and how quickly you get them. They consider the age of your site and how much traffic it recieves and then use a ratio to determine how many backlinks a site like yours should recieve. Link farms will send you many links in a very small period of time. If Google determines that a site like yours could get around 100 links per month and then you suddenly get 1000 links in a day, they know that you used a black method to achieve those links. If you're serious about improving your PageRank or search engine listings, you would definitally not use any kind of link farm because you WILL get banned.

Now if that is simple and achievable... its going to get nasty...

Yes, it's true. Search around online and you'll see that every SEO website tells you to never, ever use a link farm because it will simply get you banned. However I'm sure that Google investigates these things to a degree to make sure that it isn't simply a competitor submitting you to link farms. But the safest thing to do is to frequently monitor your backlinks and if anything strange starts happening you can contact Google and explain the problem.

Google sends out its spider to crawl the web and it can identify the link famrs and then blacklists them. If your website is found to have their code it blacklists you as well. Youll have a PR0 and won't be in the search results.
That's how they're bad, mate.

If there is a software to submit up, I am sure there would be one to ensure that they are not on that link farm
Is there?

You mean a software to submit your site and automatically get backlinks? Generating useless backlinks so that you can get a higher PR is what a link farm is. If you read any of the above posts, you'll see that you should stay away from that kind of stuff. Don't try to cheat Google and just make a quality website. If your website is good, you'll slowly but surely get backlinks without even doing anything.

Links can hurt you by no of volume or quantity you made. If make a 100 per day the bot can detect your way of linking right?
So i assume that it depends on how you are doing it.. So you are the one responsible and not the links..
