When to change homepage keywords

Hello,

I know it is good to have a good page title, content, incoming links and other things that reflect what the page is about on using google. So what about if you have a site that has good rankings for the keywords you orginally promoted or built into the page in link exchanges and such. Do you simply make the changes to page title, content keywords and other related keyword phrases and replace them with the new keyword phrase. Will this drastically drop my current rankings that are satisfactory for the one phase that is working now? Or should I start promoting new incoming text links with my new keyword phrase and wait before making the change.

Personally I don't think its wise, because if you change it, the search engine may think its a change or something new and then could have some effects on your site.

Nope it will not "drastically drop my current rankings",You may slide a little bit but it comes back naturally, as long its an original content and especially dont 4rget your main KW..

Wouldn't the search engine need to register your keywords again since you are chnaging the title?

In addition, just promote another set of your primary keywords. you can simply add it to your existing ranking kw phrases..

Maybe we have all different views on the said topic, This is to show that being a SEO is a very difficult task to handle.Just one probable mistake,could result to loss of traffic and sales..
