Just a question, I seen the PR of my sites go up and down every few months. But then my traffic is increasing every month... Does it really matter what PR I get?? If yes it it hard to get something 5 and above?

When selling your domain, PR becomes very important. For PR3 and PR4 sites you can get some good money, when selling. I don't know exactly what PR is based on, theres this very complex algorythm I don't understand, but just understand the higher, the better. And yes, it is hard to get past 5.

PR does really matter in google. if you have a high pr site, meaning more links are pointing to your site..

And of course when more links are pointing back to your site the higher you will go in the search engine, which is a good thing.

Yeah, I'm not really sure if anybody knows how Google actully gets your PR, but I hear its a very complex process they go through. As said above, it can be important when selling your website or domain, and it will have to do with you Google rank.

I read that its a calculation about how many sites or pages get link back to you and their quality and stuff like that.
But they change it so often that its hard to really keep up.

Thats why many webmaster and progammers trying to find leak in that system..
Many are using some balck methods just to fool their algo.

PR is important becaue google says it is important, and google is head and hsoulder's the No.1 search engine out there.

If I was looking to buy a website I am looking at its PR rating as well now.

You will still be getting visitors from other search engines but you need to have good PR to get visitors form google. That siad it again depends on your keywords. If you are a PR3 site and your keyword selection is filled with PR 2-4 sotes then you'll do okay, but for keywords where the average is PR 6 you won't show up in the top 20.

boohlick, what black methods are there? wouldn't somone checking on the search engine find it strange that a PR10 site don't have much linkbacks??

But wouldn't google really blacklist you if you do that?
Oh yeah... but why would the person scamming the buyer bother right?....
But I would like to know too
