Is there no other way of getting PR apart from getting Backlinks.Is Backlink is the only way to get PR.

Its the natural way of getting PR.Let SE knows your importance by getting links to many reputable site that is related to you.

There is another way, But its a "black hat method".. they call it the referal spam.. If your lucky and smart enough,SE will not penalized you but if not, youll be penalized or even get banned.Im not suggesting you do it.. do it in your own risk..

boohlick covered it pretty well, in my opinion.

There are so many black hat sites, but a large portion of them end up getting banned and thrown out from rankings overall. It's risky, and sometimes it works. But you have to be willing to take that risk and understand that usually/sometimes it will only work for so long...

I hear that even recip directories are being frowned on by google and given less importance although not banned, as they are kind of link farms - I certinly only use them to submit links not to search for anything.

The nice thing to do with your Link page, Is to put some content and try put all those link in that content.In this way google doesnt realize it as a Link page
