Just wondering if you still use meta keywords in your web designs. I doubt that any search engines really grant any merit anymore but I still leave them in since I don't think they affect your rankings either way. However I could be wrong. Could meta keywords work against you. Maybe google or others penalize you for keyword stuffing or something. So do you have them in your site on not? If not do you think it has affected your rankings at all on google, yahoo, msn?
I still use them becaue of some of the other search engines out there that might still use them. To Google, their useless, but it can't hurt, and it's easy enough to include.

Using Meta tags is a standard way for most SEO's. I have it on all of site. some minor SE still focus on meta tags but for the major SE like google, yahoo msn and etc.. i only plays a small factor.
There are many technical stuff you need to know beyond meta tags if you to be in google and other major SE.
The Meta Keyword tag is dead. The function was left out in about 1998 or something.
In present time there are some small SEs that still use them and they could have a minor function as well in the bigger SEs. It won't hurt to have it but make sure you don't reapeat the KWs.
I remember I read one SEO wrote some time ago about the Meta KW tag something like: It is good to have, at least I know for which keywords to optimize that web page for.

Its not totally dead, I now some good ranking sites still use it.. Even though google doesnt give more attention to it, It gives you points to remeber on what Keywords you are targeting per page in your site.
I am working on develpoing my first site. I think I will put them in my pages since it appears not to affect your rankings in a negative way. Nice topic.
Just remeber dont stuffed keywords to your title and decription, just a reminder.
Also focus in your link building campaign, try to get more links pointing to your site especially those that are related to you ok.
Goodluck !!
