As we all know, Submission to dmoz could be frustrating, you have to read and follow their rules and guidelines just to be included, This is fine as long as the editor of the category that you have submitted is active and still doing his part, if not we have to wait months to included or to be rejected.
We cannot do follow on our status coz, thay have closed the forum for that.

Conclusion - submit to dmoz, find the appropriate category then leave it, if it gets in then congrats but if not dont waste time finnding ways to get included..

There other directories that have the same importance as DMOZ, for one is Zeal.com and many other more
Continiue optimizing like dmoz dont exist

I've often heard this about DMOZ, that the category editors are just regular schmucks off the streets that rarely do their DMOZ jobs. It's unfortunate that something that is so heavily weighed in the traffic game, is so unreliable.

Its kind a sad that most folks have some disbelief in the editors, we cant blame them for that, its the way they feel towards dmoz.
Just let them be.. They are working there for free

seal.com hea? is it hard to get in there? and would it actually make a lot of difference? I know about DMOZ but seal.com, i never heard of!

Its zeal.com, anyway before you got add a site you must first passed the quiz, in that way youll be more knowledgeble on how the proper way to create site title and description.
You can take the quiz many times as long as you passed it. Once you've passed it you ll just wait for the editor of that category review it or you can give him a message regarding your site submission.
With in a month you can see your link there.
